About a month ago my boyfriend broke up with me. It was out of the blue when he did it. After school he came up to me and said "I am breaking up with you." I was so stunned that i was so confused and I had no idea what was going on. He told me that I had changed and that I just wasn't the same anymore. After he broke up with me my world was crashing down, my grades were dropping and I was crying every night. The next day I talked to one of my best friends at school a she told me that my boyfriend had talked to her and another one of my best friends about me changing. Then one of my best friends told me that I need to get over him and that I didn't need him in my life. When she said that to me, I was so stunned, I had never heard my friend say that to me before. I went home crying because I thought I was not worth it for anyone to love. I thought since my friends couldn't love me and be there to support me then no could. I also thought since my ex-boyfriend couldn't love me for who I was then no one could. I knew that I was so lost in my life with god and I was so far off of my path that he had planned for me. So that night I prayed more than I ever had before. I prayed that my friends would realize how much they had hurt me and I also prayed that my ex would come and talk to me and stop ignoring me. I was so lost and I thought I was done for. Then about 3 weeks later when I thought all hope was gone for my life, my best friend came up to me after class and started crying and she said, " I am so sorry for the way I treated you. I told my mom how I treated you and she said I was actually bullying you instead of being there for you. I remember when I lost my first boyfriend and I realized how much pain I went through. I realized I have not been a good friend to you and I would like to turn that around and start caring for you more. I am very sorry and I love you very much". After she said that to me I realized that god answered one of my prayers. Then on that same day, my ex came up to me and we started talking, not a whole lot but we just had a small talk. Then I realized god answered my another one of my prayers.

During this whole tragedy that I have been going through, I realized that god has been there by my side waiting for me to hand my problems over to him. I hope that if you, who is reading this, ever go through one of these tragedies with a guy or a girl, I pray that you will hand it over to god and let him take control of the situation. This has been a good time of my life, not because my boyfriend that I loved dearly broke up with me, but because this whole situation has taken me a bunch of steps closer to god. I hope this has been a story that has helped you.
